Every generation likes to think it's the first to invent peace, or war, or sex, or heroism or intellectualism. I think every generation tries to alter or erase the heroes and villains who went before them, for fear that they won't measure up otherwise. Not that it makes it any easier, especially when it's your own father being erased...but I think that you do him proud. I only know a little of him and I think of him sometimes.
